Cryolipolysis
Treatment of body slimming using cryo-energy with vacuum technology is a non-invasive contouring method designed to reduce undesirable fat deposits and improve body shape. The procedure combines controlled cooling (cryo-energy) and vacuum suction to target subcutaneous fat layers while preserving surrounding tissues (skin, nerves, muscle, and blood vessels).
Mechanism of action
The applicator draws the targeted fat bulge into a treatment head via vacuum suction, enabling direct contact and controlled cold exposure of the adipose tissue.
The cryo component lowers the temperature of the fat cells to a level where they undergo crystallisation and programmed cell death (apoptosis). Fat cells are more susceptible to cold than the surrounding tissues, which allows selective targeting. Over the following weeks and months, the body’s natural metabolic and immune processes clear the dead fat cells from the treated area. The result is a gradual reduction of the fat layer in that region.
The goal is not major weight loss, but localised fat reduction — improving contours and reducing stubborn bulges that are resistant to diet and exercise. By eliminating fat cells in the treated zone permanently (they do not regenerate in that spot), the treatment offers long-term contouring benefits when combined with a healthy lifestyle. Results emerge gradually, typically visible after 4 to 12 weeks, and further improvement over subsequent months. The procedure is a complement to, not substitute for, full weight-management strategies (nutrition, exercise, lifestyle).
Benefits
Targeted fat reduction in difficult areas
Minimal downtime, non-surgical approach
Preservation of surrounding tissue integrity
Long-lasting results if paired with healthy habits
Limitations & considerations
It is not a treatment for obesity or major weight loss
Multiple sessions may be required for larger areas or greater effect
Variability in individual response (age, fat thickness, metabolic rate)
Post-treatment lifestyle remains crucial to maintain outcomes
